Returning for a fifth year, D.C.'s OG music festival, the All Things Go Fall Classic, is once again rebooting with a few changes. Rather than continuing last year's three-day format, the Fall Classic will return to a two-day lineup. This fall festival includes headliners Carly Rae Jepsen, BØRNS, Maggie Rogers and Billie Eilish, with Jessie Reyez, Betty Who, Ravyn Lenae, Two Feet, LPX, Cautious Clay, The Aces, ALMA, SNNY, Oshun, KAYE and FootsXColes rounding out the festival lineup. But the most noticeable change is that Saturday's lineup will be an all-female cast!
“Almost a year ago, Lizzy [Palpinger] and I dreamed of creating a more diverse music festival culture that celebrates the artistry, individuality, and vision of our peers," said Maggie Rogers, who worked with Lizzy Palpinger to curate Saturday's lineup. "Amplifying the voices of female and non-binary artists is the first step towards permanently changing a culture that for so long has under represented these essential members of the global artistic community. I’m so proud to be a part of All Things Go and to share a stage with these artists I so deeply believe in.”
Of course, showcasing local food talent is a huge part of the festival as well, and this year's purveyors include Timber Pizza, Shake Shack, Rocklands and Bun’d Up. This year the Fall Classic will also partner with Women's March to promote their ongoing "Power to the Polls" national voter registration tour. The initiative specifically targets swing states and seeks to register new voters and "empower grassroots leaders to advocate for policies and elect candidates that reflect the values we marched for on January 21, 2017."
All Things Go Fall Classic will take place Saturday October 6 and Sunday October 7 at Union Market, 1309 5th St. NE. Tickets went on sale May 23 and range from $55-$89.
