Baby gorilla named Moke born at National Zoo

WASHINGTON (WJLA) - The National Zoo announced the birth of a baby gorilla named Moke on Monday morning.

Moke, whose name means "junior" or "little one" in Lingala, was born at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, according to a tweet from the National Zoo.

Calaya, Moke's mother, has been caring for him and zoo officials say they're optimistic he we will do well.
