POPCORN! GETCHA POPCORN! Or - a pillow to cover your eyes, you know, whatever makes you more comfortable.
It's the perfect time of year to watch your favorite scary, happy, or nostalgic Halloween movies and in the spirit of the holiday CableTV.com created a national report revealing each state's favorite horror films.
So what horror films are DMV residents curling up with?
You would think Washingtonians would be all about "The Exorcist" but it turns out Marylanders are more obsessed with the classic horror flick, while the District is really digging "Silence of the Lambs" and Virginians are screaming for "Scream."
CableTV collected the data by taking the IGN list of the top 25 horror movies combined with Google's 2017 trends to make up this national report. Check out more SPOOKTACULAR findings below:
- "The Ring" is the top horror movie in 18 states
- The average age that surveyors watched their first horror film was 7.2 years old!
- Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Texas favorite movies were all filmed within their states! "The Shining", "Night of the Living Dead," and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."
