With Valentine's Day just around the corner, lovers are getting festive with their dinner reservations, chocolates and, of course, their favorite rom-com's of choice! But did you know that the most commonly viewed rom com in Virginia differs from the romantic movie of choice in D.C., Maryland or even Texas?
In celebration of the season, Streaming Observer put out a new report detailing which romantic movie each state is most obsessed with. Any guesses as to which romantic comedies the DMV is obsessing over this season?
Washingtonians are loving "A Room with a View," while Virginians are curling up with "Amélie" and Marylanders are tuning in to "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg." I guess I am truly a Virginian, since Amélie is the only one of those three I've even heard of!
Overall, Titanic is the most searched for romantic movie across the country, and New York, Massachusetts and California are the top three states interested in romantic movies, respectively. D.C. ranked 8th on the list of rom com interest, while Maryland was 14th and Virginia was waaaaay down there at 34th.
