Do you want to be in the room where it happened? Repeat: The room where it happened?
Then, Hamilton super fans should act quick because The Kennedy Center just announced a special post-show cast party and gala that includes tickets to the already sold-out July 25th performance.
Tickets start at $350 and go as high as $3,000 per seat. And while that may sound very expensive, a ticket for $350 (which includes free food and drink) is pretty much on par or better than ticket exchange prices right now.
And considering that your price of admission includes access to a meet-and-greet with the D.C. cast, plus an all-inclusive meal, well, that's pretty much the best deal in town.
The Kennedy Center's Roof Terrace Restaurant is preparing the menu. Executive Chef Matt Shourds says not to overlook the crudo and cocktail stations, all which have dishes or ingredients that play off Alexander Hamilton's Caribbean roots.
"We are playing off of serving a signature Hamilton cocktail and serving some very fresh plated fish crudo to include tuna, hamachi and cobia," Shourds says. "The hamachi will offer some Caribbean flavors: coconut milk, pickled papaya, stone fruit, spiced cashews, and coriander."
The post-show experience will take place in the Grand Foyer and includes music, courtesy of DJ J.PERIOD and D-Nice from The Hamilton Mixtape. That probably means there will be dancing into the wee hours of the night. Also, this will be the only party other than The Kennedy Center Honors Gala to take place in the iconic foyer.
Hamilton super fans must act now to get tickets to the show and cast party. Proceeds support The Kennedy Center's arts and education programming.
