The highly-anticipated film "Black Panther" is slated to hit theaters nationwide next week, but the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) will host a special pop-up screening on Sunday, Feb. 11.
Tickets will be available at 10 a.m. Saturday. The special screening for the Marvel film takes place at 2 p.m. Sunday.
On ABC7 News, Michelle Marsh sat down with the local author who Marvel commissioned to write "Who is the Black Panther?" ahead of the movie's launch.
Black Panther is the latest superhero film in the Marvel franchise which has produced other blockbuster movies, including "Captain America," "Iron Man," "Thor," "Spider-Man" and "Guardians of the Galaxy."
The film hits theaters on Feb. 16.
