Monday, December 25 (Merry Christmas)

All-Star Christmas Day Jazz Jam at the Kennedy Center: Join in the 19th annual All-Star Christmas Day Jazz Jam, a Millennium Stage tradition, with host/vibraphonist Chuck Redd, drummer Lenny Robinson, trumpeters Robert Redd and Tom Williams, bassist James King, and vocalist Delores King Williams. Show starts at 6 p.m.

Ice Skating at the Wharf: During the colder months, one of the coolest amenities makes an appearance at The Wharf: our ice rink. Come to Transit Pier right outside The Anthem and lace up your skates—bring your own or rent some rink-side—to glide over the ice and enjoy amazing views of the water. While you’re here, treat yourself to some hot beverages and seasonal specialties at our nearby restaurants. The rink will be open from 12-10 p.m.

Les Misérables at the National Theater: Cameron Mackintosh presents the new production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables, direct from an acclaimed two-and-a-half-year return to Broadway. (The musical will be at the National Theater from Dec 20 - Jan 7)

Holiday Concert at the US Botanic Garden: Join the U.S. Botanic Garden for a festive evening of holiday music. 40 Thieves have established themselves as one of the best-loved Irish bands in the Metro DC area. From the cozy confines of the DC area's best Irish pubs to the wide-open stages of the festival circuit, this rocking ensemble has wowed the crowds by wedding old-fashioned and newfangled Irish music with straight-ahead rock and roll.

Mr. Popper's Penguins at the Kennedy Center: In the small town of Stillwater, painter and decorator Mr. Popper is a pleasant, practical, predictable person who periodically pines for polar adventures. But when a peculiar package on the Poppers’ porch produces a penguin, chaos waddles into their lives! Soon, the Poppers open their home and hearts to not one, not two, but a bunch of boisterous black-and-white birds! Shows start at 1:30 p.m. OR 4 p.m.

Washington Capitals vs. Boston Bruins: Rock your red and head to the Capital One Arena to cheer on the Washington Capitals as they take on the Boston Bruins. Game starts at 7:30 p.m.

Zedd at Echostage: Are you ready to dance the night away? Zedd will hit the stage at Echostage on Thursday, December 28 for a night you won't want to miss. Tickets start at $35 and the show starts at 9 p.m.
