Monday, December 11

Hot 99.5's Jingle Ball Presented By Capital One: Every year, the Jingle Ball Tour gives back to the community to celebrate the holiday season. This year's official charity for the Jingle Ball Tour is the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. $1.00 of each ticket sold will be donated to the non-profit organization, which is dedicated to inspiring today's youth through entertainment and education focused initiatives. This year's concert lineup includes, Fall Out Boy, Kesha, Logic, Halsey, Zedd, Charlie Puth, Camila Cabello, Liam Payne, Julia Michaels, and Why Don't We. Tickets start at $60.

Tuesday, December 12

New Flavor Tasting & Holiday Party at Ice Cream Jubilee: Join Ice Cream Jubilee for a holiday party where they will serve tasting flights of six mini-scoops and give you an ice cream pint to take home! They'll also be collecting donations of socks and canned food to share with a local shelter. (Navy Yard location, 7 p.m. or 9 p.m.)

The Hip Hop Nutcracker at the Strathmore: This holiday mash-up for the whole family is back by popular demand! The Hip Hop Nutcracker re-imagines Tchaikovsky’s classic score through explosive hip-hop choreography. A dozen all-star dancers, an on-stage DJ, and an electric violinist bring the traditional Nutcracker story to life in contemporary New York City.

Washington Capitals vs. Colorado Avalanche: There is no better way to spend your Tuesday night! Rock your red and head to the Capital One Arena to cheer on the Washington Capitals as they take on the Colorado Avalanche! Game starts at 7 p.m.

Twelfth Night at the Shakespeare Theatre Company: Stranded on the coast of Illyria, the quick-witted Viola assumes the disguise of a page boy for Duke Orsino and finds herself at the center of an explosive love triangle in which identity, passion and gender all threaten to come undone. Bursting with vitality and romance, Twelfth Night gives us one of Shakespeare’s most remarkable heroines matching wits with a host of captivating characters—from the love-struck Olivia to the puritanical Malvolio. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Wawa Celebrates Grand Opening of First Washington DC Store: While Wawa’s grand opening will include fanfare and more, part of the celebration will be focused around Wawa’s commitment to fighting hunger in the DC community. During the Event, Wawa will announce its “Lending a Helping Hoagie Program,” donating a portion of the store’s first week hoagie sales (up to $5,000) to the Capital Area Food Bank to help fight hunger in the DC region, The Wawa Foundation will present the Capital Area Food Bank with a grant for $10,000 to help launch its sustainable “Fresh Community Market” initiative as part of its Family Market program and Wawa will announce its annual Check Out Hunger Campaign. First 100 customers through the door at 8 a.m. will receive special surprises. Ceremony starts at 9 a.m.

Fashion Santa at Georgetown Glow All Night: The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, together with Georgetown BID, is thrilled to host the return of Fashion Santa for an unforgettable evening (open to the public) with festive activations enhanced by live music, photos with Fashion Santa, delicious sweets, seasonal warming cocktails and more, all while giving back to a tremendous local cause — Capital Area Food Bank.
