Proof celebrates 10th birthday: Celebrating 10 years is a milestone in the restaurant industry, and Proof is thrilled to commemorate its 10th birthday on Wednesday, July 5. To honor its first decade in business, Proof will host an unforgettable 10-course “Past, Present & Future” culinary journey from Executive Chef Austin Fausett and a wine-filled after-party for friends, family and supporters of the restaurant to celebrate with bubbles, hors d’oeuvres and good company.

6th Annual Jane Austen Film Festival: Dumbarton House presents the 6th Annual Jane Austen Film Festival on every Wednesday evening in July. Bring a blanket, bring a date, bring friends and family and go watch under the stars! General admission tickets are $6 per film.

Washington Nationals vs. Atlanta Braves: Head out to Nats park to cheer on the Nationals as they take on the Atlanta Braves. Game starts at 7:05 p.m.

Smithsonian Folklife Festival: (July 6 - July 9)The Smithsonian Folklife Festival honors contemporary living cultural traditions and celebrates those who practice and sustain them. Produced annually by the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, the Festival has featured participants from all 50 states and more than 100 countries.

Daybreaker DC: The National Building Museum is launching their 2017 summer architectural installation, Hive. So.. go dance in it! With a museum as your dance floor, Daybreaker is taking it to the next level! DJ Baronnhawk Pottier will bring the tunes and Haile Supreme will rock the mic.

Taste Of The World at Nats Park: The Nationals celebrate Washington, D.C.'s international community with the 2nd annual culinary event heard 'round the world. With the purchase of a special ticket, enjoy a pregame food festival and take home a set of Nationals salt & pepper shakers.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone - In Concert: This concert will feature the National Symphony Orchestra performing every note from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Audiences will be able to relive the magic of the film in high-definition on a giant screen while hearing the orchestra perform John Williams’ unforgettable score.

Alexandria City Birthday Celebration: Celebrate America's 241st birthday and Alexandria's 268th birthday along the Potomac waterfront at Oronoco Bay Park from 6 -10 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic and enjoy live music by the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, patriotic birthday cake, food vendors and a dazzling fireworks display.

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga: Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga classes are back by demand! You will learn basic SUP skills that includes: safe board and paddle control/handling, standing and balance, different SUP strokes, etc with a focus on finding your own comfort level appropriate for beginners. However the main focus of this class is Yoga on the SUP board and enjoying the yogi breath with yoga asana. (Pohick Bay Park at the Boat Loading area from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.)
