South African Wine Dinner: Join BRABO Tasting Room for a South African wine safari. Executive Chef Sebastien Rondier has planned a four-course dinner inspired by South Africa’s unique fusion cuisine. Coastal favorites will include scallop & mahi-mahi ceviche and summer vegetable curry with Maine lobster, a nod to the country’s Indian influences. A house-made kielbasa with charred peppers and onions will also be served, drawing inspiration from a Johannesburg barbecue tradition called “braai.” Sommelier Philip Lucas and Lisa Norris of Broadbent Selections will be pouring select South African wines with the dinner courses. They will provide dual wine pairings for each dish, giving insight to how each bottle works well with the flavors of the cuisine. Guests will have the opportunity to try all the wines and choose their favorite for dinner.
