The Clues to the Blues: Discover the scientific secrets behind the color blue. From the Hope Diamond to the Blue Flame, Jeffrey Post, geologist and curator-in-charge of the National Gem and Mineral Collection, will explore the science and stories behind these rare and valuable blue wonders.

For The Love Of Beer & Whiskey: Bluejacket will host an intimate 5-course beer and whiskey dinner hosted by two luminaries of the beverage industry, Master Distiller Dave Pickerell and Beer Director Greg Engert. Executive Chef Marcelle Afram has designed a unique menu to pair distinctly with each beer & whiskey offering. Each course will be served with a different beer from Bluejacket, as well as a whiskey selection from WhistlePig, Hillrock Estate or Ragged Branch.

Tuesday, April 17

March of Dimes Gala: The 35th annual Gourmet Gala is being held at The National Building Museum, with a competitive cook-off between policymakers turned chefs for the evening. Each year the March of Dimes Gala brings together philanthropists, leaders of the community, and more than 50 congressional members to raise awareness for American mothers and children. Celebrity chefs Scott Drewno, Danny Lee, Ris Lacoste, Bryan Moscatello, Erin Reed and Mike Friedman will judge their favorite hors d'oeuvres, desserts and drinks.

SALSA and Bachata Tuesdays: Dancers take over Adams Morgan every Tuesdays at Grand Central from 8 p.m. to close. Great music, great floors, and a casual, intimate vibe make for a great night.

National Cherry Blossom Festival Performance: Japanese singer, songwriter and guitarist Kana Uemura sings Japanese pop music and American pop music, including her original songs in both English and Japanese at the concert.

Happy Hour for Habitat Argentina: Come on out to Madam's Organ Blues Bar and $1 from every drink/food item purchased between 5 to 8 p.m. will benefit Habitat for Humanity Argentina.
