Espita's Test Bar: Espita Mezcaleria’s Beverage Director Megan Barnes and Executive Chef Robert Aikens will welcome the team from Quiote and Todos Santos in Chicago for a special edition of Espita’s Test bar Monday series: Tap and Kitchen Takeover. The recently-launched Test Bar Monday series showcases the bar team’s skills with new, experimental and hyper-seasonal cocktails utilizing fresh ingredients selected at the local farmer’s market. During this week’s Test Bar Monday, the Quiote and Todos Santos mixologist, Jay Schroeder, will take over the Espita bar and serve up four innovative cocktails for $13 each, while Quiote’s Executive Chef Ross Henke will sling out dishes from the kitchen. Bourbon Cocktail Takeover: Jack Rose is celebrating National Bourbon Heritage Month all week long with a variety of events.Bourbon cocktails are taking over Jack Rose’s Saloon on 9/20, when the bar team will serve up a special menu of 12 bourbon cocktails for only $10. The menu will showcase six classic bourbon cocktails – the Manhattan, Old Fashioned, Julep, Whiskey Sour, Boulevardier, and Rickey – each followed by their own creative cocktail spinoff.
