This one-year-old hound mix is looking for a very special forever home. Dory is deaf and needs an owner or family who is dedicated to helping her learn and thrive despite this setback.
She is a very loving dog who is extremely sweet and gentle -- even a little shy. Dory does like to jump up to get a better look out of windows and see what’s going on since she can’t hear (an expected behavior for a dog like this) and she’s very playful. She gets along well with other dogs and loves attention and affection. If you think you have the perfect home for Dory, she’ll be waiting for you at the Humane Rescue Alliance’s Oglethorpe Street Adoption Center!
Meet Mister Cadberry!
Mister Cadberry is a rabbit with a great personality. Unfortunately, he has bounced around quite a bit in his short life. Originally brought to the shelter two years ago when his first owner didn't want him anymore, he was quickly adopted out. But he was soon returned because his adoptive family had another rabbit that did not want a second bunny in the home.
Most recently, Mister Cadberry lived with a very nice lady that let him hop freely around her apartment, but she was forced to move to a place that would not allow small animals. In his most recent home, Mister Cadberry became very good friends with a parakeet and the owner believes that he would do best with a buddy in his new home, perhaps another rabbit or small animal.
Mister Cadberry doesn’t enjoy being picked up and carried around, but he will hop onto your lap for cuddle time if you let him. He also loves scalp massages and being petted, and is a big fan of rabbit toys and fun things to chew on! Think you'd like to adopt a small animal? Come visit Mister Cadberry at the Humane Rescue Alliance’s Oglethorpe Street Adoption Center. Mister Cadberry is in the “Hidden Gem” program, which means he gets his very own volunteers who spend extra time with him and work with him on basic training needs. Adoption fees for Hidden Gems are waived.
