Solange Knowles is coming to D.C. in October

Grammy Award–winning singer–songwriter Solange Knowles will make her Kennedy Center debut on Sunday, October 1. The performance comes almost exactly one year after Solange released A Seat at the Table, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart

“Solange is an important voice for this generation and A Seat at the Table is a profound work that is beautifully and unapologetically Black,” said Simone Eccleston, the Kennedy Center's director of Hip Hop Culture and Contemporary Music. “It is a catalyst for critical discourse and community, a vital space for catharsis and healing and a powerful testament to the transcendent power of art."

Tickets go on sale to Kennedy Center Members today at 10 a.m. and to the general public on Friday, August 25 at 10 a.m. So get ready to snag those tickets because we all know they are going to go quickly. I don't want to have to say I Told You So...

Tickets start at $49 and will be available at the Kennedy Center box office, by calling (202) 467-4600, or through the Kennedy Center website.
