Okay, when I first started reading this blog post from Estately, I was pretty sure that it was a spoof. Someone please tell me that this IS NOT REAL... Actually, I just changed my mind, someone please tell me this IS real because this is amazing. Estately searched up some of the weirdest town names from each state and the results are just too good (Image courtesy of Estately).

These are the weirdest town names in Virginia and Maryland

Okay, when I first started reading this blog post from Estately, I was pretty sure that it was a spoof. Someone please tell me that this IS NOT REAL... Actually, I just changed my mind, someone please tell me this IS real because this is amazing.

Estately searched up some of the weirdest town names from each state and the results are just too good.

The weird names for Maryland are: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Accident, American Corner, Benson, Big Pool, Blue Ball Village, Boring, Cabin John, Choptank, Crapo, Crumpton, Dames Quarter, Fairplay, Finksburg, Issue, Pomonkey, Shady Side

The weird names for Virginia are: Adwolf, Backbone, Bats Bridge, Bland, Bloxom, Bumpass, Chilhowie, Cuckoo, Dragonville, Dumfries, Fancy Gap, Fries, Frog Level, Hurt, Meadows of Dan, Painter, Parrott, Prices Fork, Pound, Rustburg, Locustville, Office Hall, Skippers, Rustic, Short Pump, Tightsqueeze, Wise

I mean can you even imagine saying, "Hello, I'm from Blue Ball Village, Maryland..."?? I think I'd move.

Here are some other personal favorites (although please check out the list yourself because it just gets better):

  • Zipperlandville, Texas
  • Nutbush, Tennesse
  • Bald Head, Maine
  • Intercourse, Pennsylvania
  • HooHoo, West Virginia

Oh you know, just some casual town names. How did people ever come up with these names?!? Anyways, get a good laugh from this blog from Estately.
