DC Refined's Girls Night Out with Kendra Scott: On Thursday, February 22 from 5-8 p.m. stop by Kendra Scott Mosaic District for an exclusive night out with DC Refined. We will have cupcakes and champagne and you’ll have an opportunity to make your own custom jewelry at the Color Me Bar. All DC Refined guests will receive a discount code and a goodie bag, and we will be raffling off three pieces from Kendra Scott’s newest line. National Margarita Day with Taqueria del Barrio: Taqueria del Barrio adds specialty margarita flavors to the menu on National Margarita Day. Bar Manager Chris Martino will be whipping up cherry and blackberry margaritas - made with fresh juices and homemade syrups, Avion tequila, and DeKuyper triple sec – as well as the restaurant’s signature classic margarita, for $9 each. Classic margaritas are also available for $5 at bar and lounge seating from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Taqueria del Barrio is open from 4pm-10pm on Thursdays, and accepts reservations over the phone at 202-723-0200.

Union Market to host NOVA BOSSA fashion pop-up: Union Market will get a little taste of Brazil when internationally inspired lifestyle brand NOVA BOSSA pops up at the thriving retail and culinary district. Offering art and photography, bain couture, books, women’s clothing, handbags, home deco?r, jewelry and scarves, the NOVA BOSSA pop-up will feature a wide selection of globally sourced items from international designers, including Adriana Degreas, Artiz, Catarina Mina, Cecilia Prado, Mercedes Salazar, Mola Sasa, Paula Mendoza Jewelry, Scarf Me, Wymann Rio and more.

Goat Underground: The Fainting Goat’s celebrated Goat Underground dinner returns this month on Thursday, February 22 in celebration of Chinese New Year. Partners Nathan Beauchamp and Greg Algie will bring their Hong-Kong inspired restaurant, Tiger Fork to The Fainting Goat to honor the Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Dog. The intimate dining experience, reserved for just eight guests, will take place at 7 p.m. Chef Nathan will showcase a menu inspired by traditional Chinese New Year dishes, with each course representing a specific virtue to bring good luck in the New Year. The full tasting menu will be revealed to guests upon arrival. Tickets are available for $125 per person including innovative drink pairings by bar director JD Quioco ($95 pp without pairings.)

Celebrate National Margarita Day at The Living Room: This year, The Living Room at Ritz Georgetown is celebrating National Margarita Day with four interpretations of everyone’s favorite tequila cocktail — from fresh margaritas with lavender salted rims to spicy favorites with chili mango. $10 per cocktail.

What She Said at W DC ft. Women in Art: WHAT SHE SAID on Thursday, February 22 at 5:30 p.m. will focus on women in the business of art. W Washington D.C. will play host to female powerhouses in D.C.'s art scene including Allison Peck (Director of Communications and Marketing, Hirshhorn Museum); Peggy Sparks (Director, Artist’s Proof Gallery); Kate Warren (Creative Director, Photographer, and Host of Insert Here podcast); in a discussion moderated by Peggy McGlone, Local Arts Reporter at Washington Post.

The Late Shift: Uncovering the Waterfront: Alexandria’s past comes to life with help from the Alexandria Archaeology Museum. Artists and innovators team up for a night of unearthed secrets, music, and trivia celebrating our region’s rich history.

I AM Frederick Douglass: Life and Legacy at the Lincoln Theater: I AM Frederick Douglass commemorates the 200th birthday of Frederick Douglass by presenting excerpts of the film Enslavement to Emancipation, a panel discussion on the legacy of Frederick Douglass, musical performances by the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) and a Douglass actor portrayal by LeCount Holmes, Jr. House opens at 6:30 pm | Free Admission.

Saturday, Feb 24

Washington Capitals vs. Buffalo Sabres: Rock your red and head to the Capital One Arena to cheer on the Washington Capitals as they take on the Buffalo Sabres. Game starts at 7 p.m.

Olympics Closing Party and Cocktail Tasting at Wunder Garten: Who else is sad that the Olympics are over? The Wunder Garten team is very sad, so they have decided to bid farewell to these grand winter games with an EPIC dance party paired with a FREE tasting of Dogfish Head Distilling’s latest lineup of liquor, including their Analog Vodka, Roasted Peanut Vodka, Compelling Gin and Barreled Honey Rum. The Wunder Garten bartenders will mix delicious beer cocktails and pour DH's Flesh & Blook Citrus IPA and Namaste White beers.

Fire & Ice Festival at the Wharf: Sometimes, being hot and cold is a good thing. The Wharf is heating up and cooling down at the inaugural Fire & Ice Festival. Head out for a fun evening of watching fire twirlers and ice sculptors take over The Wharf—all accompanied by live music and an outdoor bar with whiskey, wine, and beer.

Capital Remodel and Garden Show: More than 300 companies will be on hand at the Dulles Expo Center to showcase the latest products and services in home remodeling, renovation, home d├ęcor, landscape and garden design. An ongoing schedule of home remodeling and landscape experts conducting seminars will be carried out throughout the event. (Feb 23- 25)
