Frühlingsfest: Wunder Garten welcomes the arrival of spring with Frühlingsfest, a German tradition akin to Oktoberfest. Head to the beer garden Thursday, April 13 through Saturday, April 15 for live music, authentic German fare, Stein holding competitions and more games. The party kicks off with DJ Lehi and the tapping of the traditional Maibock keg. Specifically made for consumption at spring festivals, Maibock is a paler, more hopped version of bock, a strong, German lager.

Prinkshop Pop-up at Union Market: This weekend at Union Market, Prinkshop, the cause-centric community that designs and makes T-shirts, notebooks, and totes emblazoned with bold, text-based graphic products highlighting issues ranging from sex trafficking to education, homelessness, and marriage equality, will launch a pop-up shop from Friday, April 14 through Sunday, April 16, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Kitten Yoga: Join Yoga Heights at the Humane Rescue Alliance for a yoga class like none other! Shelter kittens--all available for adoption--will have the run of the room while participants enjoy a gentle yoga class.
Underneath It All: An Underground Fashion Showcase: Dupont Underground and the Commission on Fashion Arts & Events in partnership with the National Cherry Blossom Festival will hold Underneath It All: An Underground Fashion Showcase featuring acclaimed local designers from across the Washington, D.C. area.
Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival: Enjoy more than seven hours of free music, water related activities, delicious food, and at the end of the evening a fireworks show at the Southwest Waterfront for the finale event of the 2017 National Cherry Blossom Festival.

Celebrate Virginia Wine Tasting at RdV Vineyards: In honor of Thomas Jefferson’s birthday (April 13th), RdV’s “Celebrate Virginia” wine tasting will showcase some of the finest wines being made in Jefferson’s home state of Virginia, paired with some of Virginia’s best cheeses and charcuterie. The “Celebrate Virginia” tasting will be available in two separate reservations on Sundays: 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. The seated tasting will offer four different Virginia wines on a rotating and varying schedule, so each one will be a unique experience for guests.
