Union Market Talks - Chocolate: Bean, Bar & Beyond: On Thursday, February 1 at 9 am, a panel of local, national and international chocolate makers will come together at Union Market to talk about chocolate production and the development of the fair trade of cacao in Latin America. Renowned health policy expert and artisan chocolate bar producer Zeke Emanuel will lead the discussion entitled “Chocolate: Bean, Bar and Beyond.”

Riverdance at the Warner Theatre: The international Irish dance phenomenon is back by popular demand with Riverdance – The 20th Anniversary World Tour. Celebrating an extraordinary milestone for an incredible show, Riverdance will perform in over 60 US cities during the 2017 season. Marking the eagerly awaited return of the show to North America, the anniversary production features new costumes, new lighting, new projections and the addition of a brand new number, “Anna Livia,” featuring the female members of the Irish dance troupe in an acapella hard-shoe number. Show starts at 8 p.m.
Chocolate Lovers Festival: The Chocolate Lovers Festival, an annual two-day festival held on the first full weekend of February in the city of Fairfax, features activities for all to enjoy. In 2018, the festival will be held Friday, February 2 for Liquid Chocolate only from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, February 3 from 10 a.m. to 7p.m. and Sunday, February 4 from noon to 4 p.m.. Join for the Taste of Chocolate, the Chocolate Challenge, the ever-popular Kiwanis Chocolate Chip Pancake Breakfast, open houses at historic buildings and much more.

Jack Rose Dining Saloon Hosts Super “Chili” Bowl Cook-Off: Two teams. Five chilis. Five canned beers, 10 draft brews. Four large flat-screen TVs. As the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots face off for the title of NFL Super Bowl Champion this Sunday, February 4, Jack Rose Dining Saloon will host their annual Super “Chili” Bowl Cook-Off: an all-you-can-eat-and-drink rooftop party featuring unlimited homemade chilis and craft brews from 6-10 p.m.
