Thursday, May 18

ZooFari: More than 100 of Washington, D.C.'s best restaurants will descend upon the Smithsonian's National Zoo for ZooFari: Dine for Wildlife, the area's biggest and longest-running food and drink tasting event. At ZooFari you'll be able to sample delicious food, wine, and cocktails, participate in live and silent auctions (with prizes including a ticket package to "Hamilton" on Broadway!), meet a naked mole-rat, and much more—all while supporting conservation work around the globe.

The Weeknd at the Verizon Center: Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling music artist The Weeknd will take the stage at the Verizon Center Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, May 19

Pop Up Flower Bar at The Darcy: Washington D.C.’s newest boutique hotel, The Darcy, is hosting a Flower Bar Pop-Up in collaboration with local D.C. florist, UrbanStems from 3:30-5:30p.m., where guests can choose from an assortment of beautiful blooms to Build-Your-Own-Bouquet (BYOB). Proceeds will go to Safe Shores children’s charity, and The Darcy will also be serving cocktail tastings in the lobby from 5-6p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Eric Church at the Verizon Center: EMI Nashville recording artist Eric Church will bring the “Holdin’ My Own Tour” to Washington, D.C. on Friday, May 19. You won't want to miss this show! For the first time ever, there will be no support act on this tour. Eric Church and the ECB will play two full sets with an intermission in between.

6th Annual Running of the Chihuahuas: The races feature 96 Chihuahuas racing in groups of eight on a sixty foot “race track.” All the action is captured on a 17 foot Jumbotron screen and the winners take home $500 in cash and prizes. ALL race proceeds benefit Rural Dog Rescue – a non-profit organization dedicated to pulling dogs from high-kill rural shelters.

Halcyon's Neon Speakeasy: The official afterparty of The Halcyon Awards Gala from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Union Station’s Presidential Suite. Halcyon will channel the smoky, secret rooms of 1920s deco Americana and celebrate the iconic neon lights of a timeless Ocean Drive. Halcyon is an incubator for social entrepreneurs and offers four distinct programs focusing on catalyzing emerging creatives and change-makers in art and social enterprise.

Taste of Arlington: The largest street festival showcasing Arlington's food & drink scene on Wilson Blvd, with over 60 restaurants and food trucks, 30 craft brews and wines, a concert stage with four bands, BarkPark and KidZone. Admission tickets can be bought at Benefits BallstonGives.
