Bachelors and Brews Yappy Hour: Mix and mingle with DC Refined's Most Eligible Bachelors and some adorable adoptable dogs from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue on the patio of The Brig Beer Garden. Enjoy some brews from Devil's Backbone Brewery, passed appetizers, and great conversation with DC's most eligible. 50 percent of ticket proceeds will be donated to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. Ticket includes two (2) drinks and passed appetizers. Cher: Don't miss your chance to witness the performance of a lifetime! Cher has partnered with AEG Live and MGM Resorts International to debut CLASSIC CHER, a series of special concerts exclusive to North America. As the theater's first resident Cher performed five shows at MGM back in February/March and came back for six more shows this month (August 31, September 2,3,7,9 and 10). Zoo Uncorked: Join Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ) to party with the primates and make a toast to conservation at Zoo Uncorked (formerly Grapes with Apes). Uncork and unwind with wine tastings from local and national wineries after hours at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. The Zoo's Small Mammal House, Reptile Discovery Center, Think Tank and Great Cats exhibits will also be open late for guests. Attendees will enjoy animal demonstrations, live music, culinary delights sold from popular DC food trucks, a one-of-a-kind sale of animal art, and a chance to win zoo-themed prizes and gifts. Bourbon Night in The Yard: Kickoff National Bourbon Month in The Yard! Sip refreshing bourbon-based cocktails under a canopy of trees in the cool, urban garden mixed to the sultry music of DINO Beats & beautiful Music by Violetta Markelou. From Whiskey Sours with homemade marmalade syrup to Blackberry Mint Juleps by the pitcher, enjoy an evening of all-things-bourbon. Rosslyn Jazz Fest: Rosslyn Jazz festival, presented by the Rosslyn Business Improvement District (BID) and Arlington Arts, will take place on Saturday, September 9 from 1–7 pm in Gateway Park in Arlington, Virginia. It is free and open to the public. This year’s artists include, The Soul Rebels, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Xenia Rubinos, and Joe Keyes & The Late Bloomer Band.

Great Grapes! Wine, Art & Food Festival: The Great Grapes! Wine, Arts & Food Festival is returning to Leesburg! This year the Festival is bringing together over 20 Virginia wineries and features samples of over 200 different wines, making it one of the largest wine festivals in Northern Virginia. The Great Grapes! Wine, Arts & Food Festival will be held on September 9th from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at The Village at Leesburg. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Spirit of Hope Children's Foundation and other worthy causes. Admission for the event is $30.00 in advance or $35.00 at the door and includes all performances, cooking demonstrations, a souvenir wine glass and unlimited wine samplings.

Ultimate Tailgate at Town Hall: Town Hall will close out the summer season and gear up for fall with their Ultimate Tailgate on Saturday, September 9. Starting at 5p.m., attendees will enjoy an evening of college football and tailgating on the Town Hall outdoor patio. The all-you-can-eat tailgate menu will include burgers, ribs, chicken, and homemade sausages paired with some classic American sides, as well as complimentary beer and wine. Guests will have a chance to win exclusive giveaways including tickets to a Nationals home game and Nationals memorabilia. Tickets are $35. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Hurricane Harvey relief.

PIZZAPALOOZA: MGM National Harbor will bring a taste of Italy to the Nation’s Capital as it hosts the inaugural PIZZAPALOOZA event, taking place on Potomac Plaza Sunday, September 10 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sponsored by Marrra Forni, Orlando Foods, Pellegrino, Fiji and Redbull, the event will unite an all-star lineup of celebrity chefs to celebrate their passion for pizza, Italian cuisine and artisan craftsmanship from around the globe. The ticketed event is open to the public with general admission tickets starting at $100 and entitles guests to unlimited food and beverage during the event.
