Weird Al Yankovic is bringing Amish Paradise to the Strathmore

Great news Albuquerque fans! The comedic parody wizard and accordion ambassador “Weird Al” Yankovic will make his Strathmore debut in March of 2018. Yankovic will roll into tow as part of his "Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour" on March 20 at 8 p.m. Emo Philips will open the show.

This tour is the first time in his career that the four-time Grammy-winner will take a break from the "high-octane theatrics he’s known for, opting for a more relaxed show," according to a press release; he wants to focus instead on the music that his band has been playing for more than three decades as "a little musical palate cleanser."

Yankovic will also be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018.

So to all you Weird Al fans out there, get ready to get down and nerdy and eat it, just like a surgeon this spring!

Tickets to this show go on sale on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased by calling 301-581-5100 or visiting www.strathmore.org. Tickets range from $49-$79.
