Where to watch Trump's first State of the Union address

If there is one thing we know will unite Washingtonians, it's politically-themed drinking games! Remember that time when bars opened as early as 9 a.m. and offered drink specials for the entirety of FBI Director James Comey's three-hour examination by the Senate Intelligence Committee? Yep, we are a dedicated bunch.

Whether you're cheering or booing at the mention of MAGA during President Trump's first State of the Union address on Tuesday, January 30 at 9 p.m., several area bars are hosting watch parties and offering everything from Jello shot fundraisers to Covfefe cocktails to amplify your speech-watching experience.

Barrel

Capitol Hill's Barrel will be hosting the "State of the Brewnion Address: SAY NO TO FAKE BREWS!" downstairs at the Elixir Bar. Guests are welcome to watch the address, which will be shown on the TV with sound, and enjoy $5 draft and canned beer specials starting at 8 p.m. Shots of Old Overholt Rye will be given out each time President Trump says "Fake News."

Cafe Saint-Ex

Following their regularly scheduled Happy Hour Trivia in the more casual basement space -- nicknamed Gate 54 -- Cafe Saint-Ex will broadcast the State of the Union address. And to make things just a bit more fun, anyone who purchases a drink during the address will be given a SOTU Bingo card, with gift certificates and other Cafe Saint-Ex swag up for grabs.

Duffy's Irish Pub

For one night only, Duffy's is bringing back their top-secret Covfefe Cocktail, which had its moment of fame back in June when Stephen Colbert gave it a shout on his show! They will also be offering a variable beer price special where beer could be as low as $1 each -- Miller High Life bottles will start at $3, but they drop to $2 if Trump says the phrase "Believe me" and down to $1 if he says it twice. Bud Light pitchers are also $15 for the entirety of the speech, and the bar will be playing SOTU Bingo, with the winner gifted a round of Yager or Sinfire shots.

The Royal

The Royal will screen the SOTU on a large projector screen, and extend late night HH (which usually begins at 10 p.m.) from 9 p.m. to close. Specials include $5 Rock & Rye (rock candy and spice infused rye whiskey), $3 Miller High Life, $5 rail shots, and $7 Miller High Life + rail shot combos. The regular HH menu is also offered from 3-7 p.m. for anyone wishing to watch pre-coverage, or grab seats early.

Satellite Room

Satellite Room wants to help you get your night started right with a little pregame: from 5-7 p.m., well drinks and selected drafts will be $2. Once the speech begins, anytime Trump insults someone a "Cheap Shot" will be offered for $1, and SOTU Bingo will also be played as you listen for key words like "Hillary," "Nuclear" or "HUUUGE" with prizes given out each time someone hits bingo.

Shaw's Tavern

All bar TVs will be tuned (with sound) to the SOTU at Shaw's Tavern, and an extended HH will include half-priced pizzas and burgers, $5 house wines and $5 Sam Adams draft. Expect a drinking game involving popular Trump words (like borders

The 201 Bar

This Capitol Hill bar is promising "THE best drink specials in town... believe us." They haven't released all their drink specials yet, but so far we know there will be $5 cocktails including: Fake Moscow Mules, Covfefe 75, The Most Tremendous Daiquiri and a Stable Genius Shot (aka Fireball).

Ventnor Sports Cafe

January 30 will be Ventnor's 13th Annual watch party, and this year they are upping the ante by using the evening as a fundraiser. "In 2005 we began this event and regardless of who is the president is we will carry on with $1 Jello Shots every time he says the word of your choosing," said the bar's Facebook invite. The Jello shot proceeds will go to D.C.-based charity Ayuda and Planned Parenthood.

The wine bar will screen the SOTU in the bar, and offer an extended HH, which includes more than 15 $5 wines, $5 Peroni drafts and discounted snacks such as Pan Con Tomate topped with chorizo and manchego on grilled bread or Mushroom Crostini with housemade ricotta, truffle oil and baby arugula salad.

Wonderland Ballroom

The Columbia Heights bar will offer anyone who wants to play a Bingo card that "when completed to the satisfaction of the very fickle and capricious bartender, may be redeemed for a Fire and Fury shot." Lady Parts Justice DC will also be in attendance handing out orange Cheezeballs and/or Cheetoes " to throw at the screen during moments of heightened anxiety, or despair, or anger. Because feelings." -- a portion of all sales will be donated to their mission.
