The winners will be revealed at the JBF Awards Gala on May 1 in Chicago, so let's keep our fingers crossed and root hard for the home team here guys! Take a look below to see what locals are still in the running.

Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic

If Pineapple and Pearls takes the crown for Best New Restaurant, owner Aaron Silverman would have back-to-back JBF Awards to his name, as he won Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic in 2016 for Rose's Luxury. Mark Furstenberg has also been a nominee in the Outstanding Baker category three years in a row. Amy Brandwein and Tom Cunanan beat out four other D.C. chefs who were semifinalists in the same category.

Nora Pouillon, retiring owner of Restaurant Nora, will also be accepting a Lifetime Achievement Award at the gala in May.
