This is not so much a chair as it is an oversized white leather booth with a towering back that almost touches the ceiling. Complemented by two chairs, the set up comfortably seats five. Everybody is a VIP when they dine at José Andrés’ magical kingdom of molecular gastronomy. However, those guest who book the chef’s namesake table in a private dining area off to the side of the kitchen are treated to a next level experience featuring dishes-in-progress not on the regular menu and other special bites, as well as unique wine pairings. Sfgolina Room at Sfoglina
The restaurant’s sfoglina (pasta makers) forge fresh noodles daily in the window fronted corner space. Dinner takes place around a hand crafted cherry wood table, which hides a rolling pin and cutting board, inspired by the one in chef Fabio Trabocchi’s home. General’s Parlor at Farmers & Distillers
Starting behind the bar, diners follow a “yellow brick road” downstairs and through the kitchen to this hideaway with seating for 16.
