WASHINGTON (WJLA) - Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s bromance still appears to be alive and well.
The former president and former vice president were spotted having lunch together Monday at Dog Tag Bakery in Georgetown.
“Look who stopped by @DogTagBakery for lunch today!” the bakery wrote on Twitter. “Thank you @BarackObama and @JoeBiden for supporting our mission of empowering veterans with service-connected disabilities, military spouses, and military caregivers!”
Both Obama and Biden ordered a ham-and-cheese sandwich and ate their meal in the establishment, as seen in a video posted on Dog Tag Bakery’s Facebook page.
A Twitter user showed in a photo that Obama and Biden ate their meal at a booth.
Obama – and possibly Biden – also spoke to the patrons, then were cheered by a crowd of onlookers.
For Obama – who has kept a relatively low profile since leaving office as president – it’s the second time in a matter of days he’s been spotted out in public in the area. On Saturday, he was seen dancing with his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama, at the Jay-Z and Beyoncé concert at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.
Biden has been tabbed as a frontrunner for the Democratic nomination for president in 2020 if he chooses to run.
