DC bars to open early for former FBI Comey's testimony with drink, food specials

If you want to watch former FBI Director James Comey's testimony Thursday but don't want to do it without a drink, then several D.C. bars have you covered!

Shaw's Tavern in Northwest announced they are celebrating "The Comey Hearing Covfefe." In a Facebook post, the restaurant states they will be opening at 9:30 a.m. and airing the testimony on five TV's. Their specials include $5 Stoli Vodka flavors, an FBI sandwich (Fried chicken breast, bacon and iceberg lettuce on a toasted bun with french fries) and an FBI Breakfast (French toast, bacon and ice cream).

Union Pub will also be opening at 9:30 a.m. with free round of drinks each time President Trump tweets during the testimony. The special will run until the testimony is over or by 4 p.m. -- whichever comes first.

Duffy's Irish Pub on Vermont Avenue, NW will be opening early to air the testimony and is serving a "Covfefe Cocktail."

The Partisan in Northwest is hosting a viewing party at 10 a.m. with The Last Word and Drop The Bomb cocktails at $6 a drink.
