Just in case you've been hiding under a java-less rock, we thought we'd let you know that there's been a pretty strong coffee culture brewing in the DMV for quite some time now! And while we know Washingtonians loooove their coffee, we definitely are not the only ones feeling the caffeinated love.

According to a Gallup poll, nearly two-thirds of U.S. adults today drink coffee, and each averages 2.7 cups of joe per day. Some estimates even place Americans in the lead of global coffee consumption, at 146 billions cups per year, earning us the status as the most caffeinated humans on the planet.

WalletHub researched 14 indicators of "coffee lover-friendliness" among the top 100 cities in the U.S. and found Seattle tops the charts, just edging out their Northwest neighbor Portland, which posted a strong No. 2 showing. So if you'd ever consider relocating for a better cup of Joe, the PNW seems to be where it's at! San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles rounded out the Top 5 while Laredo, Texas ranked last in the study. So where did D.C. fall? We came in at a very respectable number 10.
