Local restaurants supporting Hurricane Harvey relief efforts

With the devastation Hurricane Harvey has caused in Houston, you may be wondering how you can lend a hand to those in need. There are several local restaurants who are teaming up to donate a portion of their proceeds to the relief efforts in South Texas.

Below are the restaurants where you can dine and help at the same time:

Tiger Fork

Tiger Fork, in Blagden Alley is donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of their Grilled Cobia Collar dish to the Hurricane Harvey relief fund by the Greater Houston Community Foundation.

August 30 - September 1, all Mike Isabella Concepts restaurants will donate $1 for every cocktail sold to hurricane relief organizations.

Taco Bamba

Beginning Saturday, September 2 both Taco Bamba locations in Falls Church and Vienna will serve a brisket taco for one week with proceeds going to Harvey relief efforts. Taco Bamba's chef Victor Albisu, a board member of World Central Kitchen, is traveling to Houston to cook and distribute food to those affected.

Agua 301

Agua 301 plans to donate 15 percent of total sales on Sunday, September 3 to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Hill Country BBQ

Hill Country BBQ will be hosting a charity event on Friday, September 1 at 6 p.m. The money raised will go to the Houston Housing Authority, a local housing organization in Houston that will use the funds to help with housing repairs for low income communities.

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar and Tito's Handmade Vodka have joined together in a special effort to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Beginning on September 1, Cuba Libre will donate $1 for every Tito's Handmade Vodka cocktail sold, and the team at Tito's will match this with an additional $1 donation, for a potential total of $20,000 donated to relief efforts in Texas and Louisiana.

The below restaurants have agreed to donate between 10 percent and 100 percent of their sales on Saturday, September 2 to the American Red Cross.
