Today (October 26) is the first day you can get your hands on the new spine-chilling Zombie Frappuccino at Starbucks.
The Zombie Frappuccino is made with ghastly green Frappuccino Crème and infused with flavors of tart apple and caramel and topped with pink whipped cream "brains" and red mocha drizzle. The creepy concoction is available Oct. 26-31 in participating stores in the United States and Canada, while supplies last.
Starbucks has been celebrating the Halloween season with themed Frappuccinos since 2014, starting with the Franken Frappuccino and in 2015 and 2016 the Frappula Frappuccino.
“When brainstorming a new Frappuccino flavor for this Halloween, we started by thinking about a Halloween party and monster mash,” said Jennica Robinson from Starbucks beverage development team. “We had already invited Frankenstein and vampires to the party, so we came up with another monster that could join the bash.”
Robinson says she used that same monster party theme to concoct the flavor.
“We thought about what you’d serve at a Halloween party, and we settled on dipped caramel apples,” she said. “It has a tart green apple flavor balanced with a smooth, sweet caramel.”
