The best boo-zy Halloween deals around the DMV

You don't have to spend Halloween (or the weekend before it) passing out candy if you don't want to. Here are some of the best and spookiest deals around D.C.

Where: City Tap Penn Quarter, 901 9th St NW

When: Saturday, October 27, 9 p.m. - 11 p.m.

The Deal: Guests can enjoy themed cocktails or purchase an open bar package for $35, which includes mixed drinks, beer and wine at City Tap Penn Quarter's Witchin’ Halloween Party. You can also snag plenty a la carte bites from the pub menu and compete in a costume contest!

Where: Roofer's Union, 2446 18th St NW

When: Wednesday, October 31, 5 p.m. until close.

The Deal: You can score some spooky boo-ze at Roofer's Union on Halloween. Almanac Brewing’s “Pumpkin Pie de Brettaville,” a 7% pumpkin pie sour beer and Avery Brewing’s “Rumpkin,” a 17% rum barrel-aged pumpkin strong ale will be on tap. If you're more in the mood for a cocktail, Roofer's Union will be offering the 'Hocus Pocus', a White Negroni with color-changing butterfly pea flower for $9.

Where: Calico, 50 Blagden Alley NW

When: Saturday, October 27 and Wednesday, October 31

The Deal: Come down to Calico on October 27 for their Neighborhood Halloween Party, where you can snag speciality frozen cocktails and tons of candy. On October 31, Calico will be hosting Howl-O-Ween - dogs will receive mini-pumpkins filled with treats and 10% of the night's proceeds will go to benefit Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. Dogs are encouraged to dress up!

Where: The Capital Wheel at National Harbor, 116 Waterfront St, Oxon Hill, MD

When: October 26-28 and 31

The Deal: You can get buy-one-get one free tickets to The Capital Wheel if you come dressed in a costume. Adults can also enjoy the view with a boozy beverage in an adult sippy cup. Kids can also ride the carousel for $5 when they come in a costume and they'll be able to get their face painted with the purchase of a ticket.

Where: Radiator, 1430 Rhode Island Avenue, NW

When: Saturday, October 27, 2 p.m.- 5 p.m.

The Deal: The patio will be open to humans and their four-legged friends for Howl-O-Ween. Pups will be treated to trick-or-treat goody bags, but dogs in costumes will get some extra treats. Humans can get craft cocktails from a cauldron and snack on sriracha deviled eggs and charred shishito peppers.

Where: GWAR + Death Becomes Us Pop-up Bar, 1843 7th St NW

When: Wednesday, October 31

The Deal: For $10, you can make your way through all of the pop-up bars - all proceeds will go to DKMS, a charity devoted to fighting blood cancer. It'll be GWAR Pop-up Bar's last day and Death Becomes Us will close just a few days after that, so try all of the murder-themed cocktails you can - before it's too late.

Where: Gaslight Tavern, Brixton, El Rey, Satellite Room and American Ice Co. (U Street Corridor)

When: Wednesday, October 31

The Deal: 'Nightmare on U Street' is bringing some of the scary, themed cocktails to the bar crawl masses. Every bar has its own horror movie theme and corresponding cocktails; Gaslight Tavern, for example, will be themed around 'Sleepy Hollow' and patrons can pick up drinks like 'The Ichibod' and 'Last Ryed'. Just be sure to check in to Satellite Room by 8 p.m. to register for the costume contest - the winner will score $250.
