Here at DC Refined, we are big, big fans of the museums on the National Mall and bottomless brunch! Unfortunately, we've never been able to combine the two loves ... until now! The National Gallery of Art now serves bottomless weekend brunch in their Garden Cafe for $30 per person -- $40 if you add bottomless mimosas.
On Saturdays and Sundays through September, you can enjoy brunch in the West Building pre or post museum browsing. With offerings like baked frittata, heirloom tomato and watermelon gazpacho, greek couscous, BBQ short ribs with caramelized pineapple and carrot cake, this isn't your basic waffles and scrambled eggs buffet! The Garden Café is now the only place on the National Mall where you can enjoy a seasonal brunch with your museum visit.
“Starr Catering Group recognizes that brunch is an important part of DC culture, and we wanted to provide a brunch option to locals and visitors alike in our unique museum setting," said Kris Simmers, general manager of Starr Catering Group at the National Gallery of Art.
This is the first time Starr Catering Group, which started at NGA in October 2016, is trying out the brunch, but they will re-evaluate at the end of September and see about bringing it back down the road.
