For all you die-hard Wawa fans out there, I have news that is about to make your week! Currently, if you don't live within walking distance of D.C.'s only Wawa location (don't worry, there are many more to come) and a 1 a.m. hoagie craving hits with undeniable force, you're up a creek without a paddle. But thanks to a new partnership between Wawa and Uber Eats, you can have just about any Wawa made-to-order item (and a select number of chips, candy, desserts and beverages) delivered right to your door!
"It’s our mission to make food delivery an everyday thing, said Liz Meyerdirk, Uber Eats' global head of business development. "We’re excited to help connect Wawa with new customers and deliver classic favorites like cheesesteak hoagies and handcrafted beverages, all at the speed of Uber."
According to a press release, delivery favorites so far include Wawa macaroni and cheese, hoagies, soups and sides.
With 15 of Wawa's 800 retail stores now offering delivery service, Wawa is getting "closer to our goal of offering delivery to one-quarter of our stores by year’s end," said Wawa's Delivery Project Manager Steve Hackett.
I can't decide if this news is worse for my wallet or my waistline...
Customers who are new to Uber Eats can get free delivery on their first meal from Wawa using promo code WawaUberEats.
