Who let the dogs out? Where to take fido for yappy hour

Do you want to go out for happy hour after work, but don't like the thought of leaving your four-legged friend home alone for another hour or two? We have a solution for you -- Yappy Hour! Many restaurants around the DMV are allowing dogs on their patios on certain days and offer treats for not only you but your pup too!

If happy hour isn't really your thing, but ice cream totally is, then take your furry friend out for a summer treat.

Here is our list of the best Yappy Hours and places to get your dog a yummy summer puppy pop:

Yappy Hour

Macon Bistro (5520 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 20015): Yappy Hour is available now through September 3, every Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the front outdoor patio. Guests and their furry friends can cool off with dog-friendly frozen popsicles. The restaurant will also offer a variety of drink deals and free dog treats for Yappy Hour.

Station 4 (1101 4th Street, SW, 20024): Station 4 offers doggie happy hour every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., exclusively on their patio bar. They offer food and drink specials for humans and complimentary doggie treats and water for the pups.

Satellite Room ( 2047 9th Street, NW, 20001): Bring your pooch every Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to enjoy some drinks on the patio. For every PBR sold between the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Satellite Room will donate one dollar to the Washington Humane Society-Washington Animal Rescue League.

Jackson 20 (480 King Street, Alexandria, Va. 22314): The patio at Jackson 20 is puppy-friendly on Tuesdays nights, bring your four-legged BFF to Yappy Hour, held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from May to October.

Rockland BBQ and Grilling Company (3471 Washington Blvd, Va. 22201): Enjoy Yappy Hour on the patio every Thursday during the summer months.

And you can bring your four-legged friend too! Let the pup enjoy a Puppy Pop or Squirrel (baked dog treat) while you eat your ice cream.
