15 ways to accessorize your Apple Watch

It seems like EVERYONE has an Apple Watch in D.C. now. To be honest, I think it's because we're all a bunch of Type A personalities who like to keep everything organized and calculated. I guarantee that I check how many calories I've burned so far on any given day more often than I check the time -- don't lie, you know you do it, too! It's just who we are as a city, and I love it.

My watch helps me stay on track with my fitness goals, alerts me when I have a text or social media notification, tells me the weather, tracks my sleep and the list goes on. Not to be dramatic, but it's become such a tool in my life that I feel naked if I don't have it on.

Okay, okay, I'm done with hyping up the Apple Watch. If you're reading this you probably already know how life-enhancing it is. So, let me get to the point.

Despite how much I love my watch, I've been at a loss on how to accessorize, style it and truly customize it to fit my outfit. For so long, I only had the plain pink band my watch came with and it just lay all by itself on my right wrist. Some days, it definitely sticks out and looks out of place with my outfit, especially when I'm dressed up.

So, I went on Amazon and bought three new bands (all less than $15, BTW): a black floral band, a gold leather band and a black leather band. I then solicited the help of three trusty local stores to help me take my Apple Watch game to the next level. South Moon Under in Georgetown, She's Unique in Alexandria and Violet Boutique in Shaw showed me a bunch of ways to style my watch with my different bands.

Whether you are into chunky and bold jewelry, prefer a minimalistic look or simply want to coordinate your watch with other accessories, there's definitely a look for every Apple Watch wearer in this photo gallery, so click on through!
