This awards season was marked by an all-black dress code, Time's Up pins and white roses. But for the Oscars, the stars pulled out all the stops with sparkles, excellent tailoring, gorgeous nude frocks and a few bright hues. It was hard to{ } narrow down the looks we loved, but here are 23 that really stunned us. (Images: Courtesy WENN.com)

The Black Panther star looked like an Oscar herself last night in a stunning{ }Atelier Versace dress, Alexandre Birman shoes, Niwaka jewelry and a Versace clutch. At first glance, I wasn't sure about the asymmetrical shoulder, but by the end of the night, it was the look I Ioved most. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com){ }
But Lupita wasn't the only Black Panther star looking fine last night! This Howard University grad strutted his stuff in a gorgeous Givenchy topcoat. (Image:(Image: Apega/WENN.com)

I have hated on the last several red carpet looks worn by Nicole but this one took my breathe away -- in a great way! The Big Little Lies star walked the carpet solo, killing it in her cobalt Armani Privé gown, Christian Louboutin shoes and Harry Winston jewelry. (Image: Apega/WENN.com)

Gal once again proved that she is a real-life Wonder Woman last night in this sparkly Givenchy dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Tiffany & Co. jewelry and a Judith Leiber bag.(Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

Because who doesn't love a man in a green velvet Tom Ford tuxedo?? (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)
At first I wasn't totally sold on the embellishment on her classic custom Chanel gown (designed by Karl Lagerfeld himself!) as it looked a bit like Christmas garland. But alas, the overall look was just too beautiful to discount. Margot completed her look with Chanel jewelry/purse and Roger Vivier shoes. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

I've seen a few people throw this stunning ensemble on the worst dressed list and I am struggling to understand what their eyes are seeing because this was an absolute favorite of mine from the moment I see Jennifer on the red carpet. Everything from the{ }Atelier Versace gown to the Versace shoes and Piaget jewelry fit her like a glove. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

Unfortunately I could find very little information about this beauty, who is the{ }Doha Film Institute CEO, online, but I couldn't get over how effortlessly glam her Oscars look was, from the on-point makeup to the perfect styling. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

I had tears in my eyes as Common performed "Stand Up For Something" alongside Andra Day (and local boy Jose Andres made an appearance!) and the rapper didn't look too bad doing it in Armani with a Tiffany & Co. watch and pin. (Image: Apega/WENN.com)

Who else just about died of happiness as Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet posed together on the red carpet?? Though I couldn't quite get on board with Timothee's all-white tux look, I am ALL FOR Armie's sleek red velvet Giorgio Armani suit with a Montblanc watch and cuff links. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

I kind of love it when women boldly go for red on the red carpet, and this Reem Acra gown (paired with Forevermark jewels, Jimmy Choo heels and a Roger Vivier bag) won me over instantly. The silhouette of the gown looks like it was made for Allison's figure, (Image: Apega/WENN.com)

This fashion choice was as meaningful as it was gorgeous. Tiffany chose to wear a traditional Eritrean dress (paired with Jimmy Choo shoes and a Judith Leiber clutch) to honor her father, who passed away last year.{ }“He said one day I would end up here and if I ever ended up at the Oscars to honor my people so I’m honoring my fellow Eritreans,” she told People magazine. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

The Jane the Virgin star was positively radiant walking the red carpet with her boyfriend Joe LoCicero in a stunning{ }stunning Zuhair Murad gown,{ }Jimmy Choo heels, a Judith Leiber clutch and Forevermark jewelry. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

Fatherhood looks gooooood on Mahershala! The Moonlight star, who became the first Muslim actor to win an Oscar last year, couldn't stop gushing about what a blessing his one-year-old daughter was as he sported a dark emerald velvet Berluti tux, while his wife opted for a gold gown adorned with birds. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

Allison was one of several stars who opted for sparkly, embellished nude gowns on the red carpet, and the look can be hard to pull off. But I thought Allison looked like a classic beauty in her Armani Privé Couture and Brian Atwood shoes. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

Holy moly is Jane Fonda ageless or what?? The 80-year-old red carpet veteran dazzled in her{ } custom Balmain gown (sporting a Time's Up pin), Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, Chopard jewelry and Perrin bag (Image: Dave Bedrosian/Future Image/WENN.com)

Mira looked regal in her Romona Keveza dress, but her dress was far from the best part of her Oscars appearance. The actress was one of the first to come forward with Weinstein allegations, and walked the red carper with fellow Weinstein accuser Ashley Judd.{ }“I want people to know that this movement isn’t stopping, we’re going forward until we have an equitable and safe world for women,“ Sorvino said to Vanity Fair. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

It's killing me that I can't figure out who designed this awesome look, but either way I am applauding Darrell for opting for a bright pink tux jacket and looking like he's having more fun than anyone at the Oscars. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

This may be our favorite story from the Oscars... Rita is repeating a dress she worse 56 years ago! The 86-year-old actress first wore the gown to the Oscars in 1962, when she won Best Supporting Actress for her role in West Side Story.{ }"The fabric is made out of Obi, which is the sash that Japanese women use in their kimonos," she told E! News. She altered the dress slightly by making it strapless and adding a statement necklace. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

Jordan Peele and his film "Get Out" made history at the Oscars as he became the first African American to win Best Original Screenplay. He looked the part of a winner in his Calvin Klein 205W39NYC tux with a custom Jason of Beverly Hills lapel pin and a Montblanc watch.(Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

The "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" actress showed her star power in a Grecian-like Schiaparelli gown, Jimmy Choo shoes, Bulgari jewelry and Valextra clutch. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)

Another stunning performer from the Oscars killed it in a Versace dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Forevermark jewelry and Roger Vivier clutch. The superstar not only performed her Oscars-nominated song "Mighty River," but was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Mudbound. The "Call Me By Your Name" screenwriter kept the star of his show close to his heart as he had Timothee Chalamet’s character's face printed on his tuxedo shirt. (Image: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com)
