If you were watching the Super Bowl in the D.C. area on Sunday night, you got to experience a notable local ad that was hard not to remember.
In the commercial – created by Cyprus Air Heating, Cooling and Fireplaces – Kirk Cousins starred alongside a fake Donald Trump outside the White House while wearing a Redskins jersey.
Last Tuesday, the Redskins agreed to acquire quarterback Alex Smith in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs that appears to spell the end for Cousins with the team.
But even Cousins had a laugh about that in the ad.
At the end of the commercial, the fake Trump mentions how “Sneaky Alex” stole Cousins’ job and that he was making Cousins “secretary of offense” as a result.
Cousins also shared the ad on his Twitter account.
The portion of the commercial with Cousins in a Redskins jersey was shot in mid-January.
