Got Labor Day plans?
If your answer is ‘no,’ there are still plenty of great travel deals to be had, like a long weekend in Annapolis, a spur-of-the-moment trip to Beantown, or an all-out steal of a deal to Sin City. Turns out, even procrastinators can save on travel this summer.
But if you’re more of the type-A planning type, you’re in luck too. This month’s travel deals include a ridiculously low-cost flight to Helsinki for October and a special promotion that will get you to New Orleans just in time for the city’s 300th birthday this fall.
Whether you’re good or bad at trip planning, there’s really no excuse not to save. Here are some of the best flight and hotel deals this month.
What happens in Helsinki... certainly does not stay in Helsinki. But summits aside, if you’re looking for a quick and easy getaway this fall to Finland, Icelandair has a deal courtesy of The Flight Deal. It’s a $395 round-trip option that includes a checked bag and Sunday stay, giving you plenty of time to post Instagram-worthy travel pics from your very own Nordic visit.
What happens in Vegas... hopefully, stays in Vegas. Right now, Frontier Airlines has a nonstop offer to Sin City for just under $200 roundtrip. The deal is good for travel in late August and is even cheaper ($59 one way) for travelers who are in Frontier’s Discount Den membership program.
Celebrate NOLA’s Tricentennial. Southwest has a special booking package that includes your flight and hotel stay to the Big Easy, just in time for the city’s 300th birthday. Travelers save up to $100 using Southwest promo code: SAVE100MSY.
Beantown for less than $100. Skip the long eight-hour drive or train ride. This fall, nonstop flights to Boston start at just $93 roundtrip. Expedia has an unbelievable deal, which is available for August to October travel, on flight departures for Saturdays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Long Weekend in Annapolis. The DoubleTree Annapolis has a special offer for an end-of-summer getaway geared toward long weekenders. Book a stay in August for Friday and Saturday, and your third night is 50 percent off. The full details for this Bay-side retreat are here.
“Inn” the Know. The Clifton is a historic inn, located just outside Charlottesville, Virginia. The property recently was renovated and reopened in June with many modern touches. Right now, there are special introductory rates as low as $169 per night. The estate, which was built in 1799 for Thomas Jefferson’s daughter, maintains its historic feel, but there are many newer perks, like an outdoor infinity pool and access to a members-only social club, called Common House. Not to be overlooked are the food and drink options. The restaurant, 1799, is run by Michelin-starred Chef Matthew Bousquet. The Clifton also launched Sunday brunch and weekly culinary events in partnership with a few local distilleries.
