Travelers have been stuck in airports sometimes for hours and even overnight. But Dulles International Airport is introducing a bit of relief for them.
The new sleep pod is a personal bed and space for travelers inside the airport's terminal. If customers want to lay down and watch a movie before their flight, the sleep pod gives them that luxury.
These pods have a bed longer than a king-size and features lights, music, and temperature functions that can be controlled from the traveler's phone.
Costs for the sleep pods are $30 for the first hour and then it drops down in price throughout the hour. Currently, there are 16 sleep pods in Terminal A at Dulles which is the first airport in the U.S. to have it.
Sleep Box Co-Founder Peter Chambers tells ABC7 the company wants to roll out the sleep pods to all Dulles Airport terminals.
ABC7's Sam Sweeney has more on this story in the above video.
